As a Cook at Tenun Coffee Roasters, you'll support the Head Chef in preparing, cooking, and plating dishes to a high standard. You'll help bring to life our Indonesian-inspired tapas menu — from sweet and savory pisang goreng, to sate, nasi goreng, and other curated comfort dishes.
You'll play an important role in maintaining quality, consistency, and the calm rhythm of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in daily mise en place, stock preparation, and ingredient management.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety at all times.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support new menu development and seasonal menu changes.
- Ensure portion control and consistency across all servings.
- Handle equipment and tools properly and safely.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Cook or Kitchen Staff in a café or restaurant.
- Basic knowledge of Indonesian dishes and flavor profiles.
- Able to follow recipes and plating standards with precision.
- Punctual, disciplined, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
- Passionate about food, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Based in Jakarta and able to work on-site full-time.
