Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction to the R&D team, including designers, estimators, technical staff, and sample makers within the manufacturing process.
  • Lead and proactively manage the end-to-end design process for new products and projects — from concept development to final production.
  • Design and develop innovative kitchen equipment product (electrical, gas, refrigerator).
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and produce all necessary design drawings according to design standards.
  • Support management in preparing detailed and structured project timelines.
  • Manage and review technical documentation provided by consultants, subcontractors, and related external design stakeholders.
  • Apply strategic thinking in projects by anticipating and identifying risks and proactively offering viable solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation such as:

  • Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • Production methods
  • Routing processes
  • Monitor and adjust all relevant requirements related to product development.
  • Establish design standards and guidelines to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Define design needs and priorities, especially in the decision-making process of "Buy vs. Make" during the development stage.
  • Apply knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards across the entire R&D workflow.
  • Capable of translating technical drawings into accurate and efficient production processes.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Product Design / Engineering with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • Work Experience:

  • At least 10 years in the manufacturing kitchen equipment industry (such as Sharp, Panasonic, Polytron, Electrolux, LG, or similar companies).

  • Minimum 3 years experience as an R&D Manager.
  • Good understanding of project cost estimation and deadline management.
  • Solid grasp of design aesthetics, current trends, and ergonomic principles.
  • Proficient in design and office software, including:

  • AutoCAD

  • SolidWorks (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in English (speaking, reading, listening, and writing).
  • Willing to work overtime when required and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidates must be willing to work in Semarang.
