About the role
PT Jaya Obayashi is seeking an experienced MEP Commissioning Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Karawang, West Java. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all stages of engineering project testing are completed. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, reliable infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures to verify the proper installation and operation of all material & equipment from owner or principal.
- Conduct system inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with project teams, including planning engineers, technical site team, and sub-contractors, to coordinate and execute commissioning activities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning records, test reports, and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to ensure the successful handover of commissioned systems
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of commissioning processes and best practices
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer, preferably in the construction industry
- Proficient in the use of commissioning tools, testing equipment, and related software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues MEP
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely and quality project delivery
- Familiarity with relevant electrical and MEP standards, codes, and regulations
