We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Docking Controller Assistant Manager
to join our technical team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth execution of dry-docking projects, maintaining compliance with international maritime standards, and safeguarding the performance and reliability of our fleet.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the key liaison between Fleet Operation, Shipyard, Workshop, Purchasing & Logistics, Cost Control, and SMO departments.
- Ensure the preparation and implementation of Repair List, Spare Part List, Daily Report, Work Done Report, S-Note, and Docking Report are accurate and compliant with standards.
- Review and monitor dry-dock scope of work, technical specifications, and execution to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze shipyard quotations together with Technical Assistants and evaluate shipyard/docking performance with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve quality issues or non-conformities during the dry-dock process.
- Maintain complete and accurate fleet documentation and records throughout the vessel docking period.
- Oversee docking projects across multiple vessel types, including tankers (20,000–150,000 DWT), bulk carriers (50,000–70,000 DWT), harbour tugs (3,000–5,000 HP), and flat-top barges (7,500 DWT).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a
Technical Superintendent, Docking Project Leader, or similar role in the maritime industry
. - Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and standards (ISM Code, TMSA, OCIMF, Vetting, etc.).
- Proven expertise in dry-docking processes and documentation management.
- Proficiency in Primavera, MS Project, AutoCAD, Ansys, and Maxsurf.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quality control skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.
- Well-organized with strong project and time management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel frequently to shipyards and docking sites.
- Placement: Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
