Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (S1/D3) in Art, Visual Communication Design, Education, or a related creative field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching art, illustration, or comic/cartoon drawing to Primary/Elementary school-aged children is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in drawing and illustration techniques (both traditional and digital methods are a plus).
- Excellent knowledge of visual storytelling fundamentals (how to use panels, balloons, and sequencing).
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is highly desirable for effective communication.
- Highly energetic, patient, and enthusiastic when working with young children.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Must be reliable and committed to the scheduled extracurricular hours.
Job Description:
- Designing and implementing a fun and structured weekly curriculum suitable for Primary students (ages 6-12).
- Teaching the fundamental concepts of comic creation, including character design, storyboarding, panel structure, dialogue/narration, and inking/coloring techniques.
- Providing individual guidance and personalized feedback to students as they develop their own original comic stories and characters.
- Sourcing and preparing engaging teaching materials, examples, and art supplies for each session.
- Creating a positive, safe, and motivating classroom environment that encourages self-expression and teamwork.
- Managing classroom logistics (attendance, discipline, and material organization) efficiently.
- Collaborating with the school team to organize an end-of-semester exhibition or presentation of student work.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during club hours.
