Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (S1/D3) in Art, Visual Communication Design, Education, or a related creative field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience teaching art, illustration, or comic/cartoon drawing to Primary/Elementary school-aged children is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in drawing and illustration techniques (both traditional and digital methods are a plus).
  • Excellent knowledge of visual storytelling fundamentals (how to use panels, balloons, and sequencing).
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is highly desirable for effective communication.
  • Highly energetic, patient, and enthusiastic when working with young children.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Must be reliable and committed to the scheduled extracurricular hours.

Job Description:

  • Designing and implementing a fun and structured weekly curriculum suitable for Primary students (ages 6-12).
  • Teaching the fundamental concepts of comic creation, including character design, storyboarding, panel structure, dialogue/narration, and inking/coloring techniques.
  • Providing individual guidance and personalized feedback to students as they develop their own original comic stories and characters.
  • Sourcing and preparing engaging teaching materials, examples, and art supplies for each session.
  • Creating a positive, safe, and motivating classroom environment that encourages self-expression and teamwork.
  • Managing classroom logistics (attendance, discipline, and material organization) efficiently.
  • Collaborating with the school team to organize an end-of-semester exhibition or presentation of student work.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during club hours.
